The Face Shop: Mini Pet Hand Cream

Off to a start of a busy weekend D: but I do have time to do one review (maybe two if I have time). But for now, I'm doing one on the hand cream.

Price Rating:

So my mom bought this as a gift for me in Korea. She actually bought the whole set, but I gifted the others away. I don't know where you can purchase these in Hong Kong, I heard there is a Face Shop set up somewhere but I don't know where. I just checked online, and these are HKD $175 for a set of three, and from another online store, they sell for about USD $6.50 each. I wasn't able to find the exact price on their web page as the product did not show up in the skin care category -.- But it's way cheaper in Korea, so it's not easy to judge. Let's just go with the online store price. So, USD 6.50 each, so that's about HKD $50.40. For 30 mL of hand cream they give you, I would say that's pretty pricey. But for this one, I can't rate the price because I don't know the original price of it in Korea.

So there are 3 original variations of this hand cream. The fourth one, 04 Sweet is supposed to be a limited edition

From Left to Right, Top to Bottom: 01 - Baby Powder, 02 - Sweet Fruits, 03 - White Floral, 04 - Fruity Floral

So as you can see, they all have cat ears, even the bear, monkey and dog, which is kinda weird but cute at the same time. It's easy to open, close and scoop the lotion out of. And I absolutely adore how it looks like a flower pot with a animal peeking its head at you. ^^

As I said before, I had all of them, but now I only have the baby powder and sweet one. But I haven't used the baby powder one or opened it yet, so I'll be reviewing the sweet one.

I actually love this hand cream so much. It's a real shame that The Face Shop gives you so little of it. But it makes sense because it was meant to be a small container of cream that you throw in your purse. But if they make a big bottle of this, like a body lotion, I would buy it instantly. I tend to use a lot of this hand cream, because it gets absorbed by my skin at the speed of light. It has superb moisturizing effects, and my hands do not look like I just washed them in oil. Compare to the Boots Lavender Hand Cream, this one is quite watery, and easy to spread. It smells quite sweet (hence the name "sweet") and the smell isn't over powering either.

Since it moisturizes my skin so well, I have not had chapped hands since using this. So I began experimenting by putting this on my knees and elbows, which are very dry areas of my skin - and it quenched my parched skin! So I took it a little further and applied this on my face. You won't believe how amazing it is to have this cream all over your face. It actually makes my face skin very supple and less oily. Love it!

Product Rating: 5/5

Overall Thoughts: You have to go buy this cream. Whether you are in Korea or ordering online, you must go buy it.

Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing but the small container

Overall Rating: 5/5

Well, I don't have time to do another review D: but next time I'll probably review some more hand sanitizers or the cherry balm. See you! and Don't forget to come back ^^

Tony Moly: Petite Bunny Gloss Bar

Ok beauties...calm down. It's a week off - I understand, but it's only a week until interim so I have lots of projects and research papers to hand in by Tuesday. Which is why I did not even come online last weekend. But anyways, let's cut to the chase. The review you all have been anticipating, and the review that has been mentioned in a lot of my posts: The Petite Bunny Gloss Bar :D

Price:

There are two price ratings (I guess) for this one. If you purchase this in Korea, it's very reasonable, not exceeding HKD $40, however, if you buy this in Hong Kong (Sasa has them!) Then you will be paying HKD $60-75 which is an outrageous price. So for the price, there is no review.

So for those of you Korean beauties out there, you would know that there are 6 original fruit flavors plus 3 neon editions

As you can see, these are so adorable! They kind of look like a pen, but with a bunny cap. Each different variation comes with a different color, and emotion, and scent (except for the neon ones). They are easy to twist up, but my only problem, is twisting them down again. They will twist down to a certain point, and from there, you have to use your finger (preferably lip) to push it back down so you can close the cap. This is obviously very annoying and it has happened to all of my gloss bars. On the bright side, for those of you who are students, this has the shape of a pen or pencil, so I throw it in my pencil case all the time - very convenient!

So I don't have the full collection. Well, I did, but gave them to friends, so I'm left with Juicy Apple, Juicy Strawberry, and Neon Yellow. I have the Neon Red one, but that is a gift, so that will not be in the review today. So here they are!

(Excuse the lighting) So, these cuties are quite good quality. They all have a tint, and they are all very moisturizing, so I guess you can call them the Korean version of Baby Lips (no?) The colors are all great, but for me, I think the tints are too strong. It's kinda more like a lipstick lotion thing, rather than a tint, but on the other hand, I think it beats your old ordinary lipstick. Because it has a strong tint, it has a perfect function for lipstick, plus it lasts for 2 hours (3 hours if you don't eat or drink) and you can feel the difference of moisture on your lips. The Juicy Strawberry one is very girly. It's pale pastel baby pink, and it smells like Meiji Apolo Chocolate. It fits for a very cute summery look. The Neon Yellow one is just pure awesomeness. Believe me, it does not make your lips neon yellow. The Neon Yellow stick is a color changing stick, so it goes from clear to having a reddish-pinkish tint. The Juicy Apple on the other hand is the darkest of the three. This is the one that simulates lipstick. It's a cool hot-pink, and it's the hot pink that makes your lips look like Nicki Minaj's lips, trust me.

Product Rating: 4.5/5

Final Thoughts:
Over all, it's a great product, but it's not worth the price in Sasa. I suggest that you buy it in Korea when you visit, or if not, Sasa is fine too. Oh and the shelf life for these is 3 years, so you can use it for a pretty long time :D Go buy it!

Pros: Packaging, product quality, color
Cons: Cannot twist down properly

Sorry, the lighting is kinda bad, but if you want the whole swatch test for all of the editions, here it is:
***THE WHOLE SWATCH TEST IS NOT MY PHOTO***

Aaaaand, it's almost 10:00! I have to work, but I'm sure I have time for one or two more reviews :) we'll see. Hope you beauties enjoyed!
