Etude House: Eraser Show - Mascara Cleaner

Another thing that I brought from Korea during the Easter Holidays was this wonderful, new, revolutionary product from Etude house.

You can now remove your mascara using this mascara "whiteout". Quite different from your regular makeup remover, this mascara remover is easy to pop in your bag and is something that every cultured lady must have.

Packaging:

This is just adorable. It's a fantastic combination of Anna Sui and pastel colors with a hint of kawaii.

Packaging Rating: 5/5

Product:

So it's a little complex to use. You've got to follow the instructions on the side of the box or else it won't work. The cleaner itself is actually white, so it's like using whiteout. It's a little hard to use, and you have to be patient with it or your eyes will sting. But still, after practice, it's a good product.

Directions:
1. Apply remover by thoroughly combing through lashes, moving from roots to ends
2. Leave on for 1 to 2 minutes
3. wipe off gently with a clean cotton pad, starting from roots
4. Clean the comb with a tissue after each use.

Product rating: 3/5

Fun product! But I wouldn't repurchase this again, as I still prefer my old makeup remover instead of this. But I recommend you try it though! :)

Etude House: Wonderpore Freshner

So this is what I got from Korea during Easter break: The Etude House Wonderpore Freshner. It basically just rehydrates and refreshes your skin.

I'm a fan of Etude house and all, but I must say, this product was quite disappointing.

Packaging:

So obviously, Wonderpore is very cute. It's modern, funky, and it has a twist of Benefit and Soap & Glory in it. You push the top pump to get the liquid out. Simple and easy to use, even a toddler can use it. Plus, it's refillable, so it helps the environment.

Packaging Rating:
5/5

Product:
Now this is the part that is disappointing. To put it simply, Wonderpore simply doesn't work. I don't feel my skin getting moisturized and you need to pump out the freshner ten times before you actually feel a slight difference in your skin. Really, you barely feel any improvement in your skin condition, but after a shower, it's very refreshing.

Product rating:
2/5

Overall, I will not be repurchasing this again, but if you are the type that likes cheap refreshing things, then maybe this is for you.

This was a mini review! Stay tuned for more!

Hey guys!
I'm so sorry I haven't been posting for a long while :( I've had so many tests and projects after my arrival in Hong Kong that I haven't been able to even check up on you all. But fortunately, I'm back now, and I'll be able to do more reviews today!

Korea Special: Too Cool For School - Too Cool Art Class : Art Class Lip Crayon

Another product from this fun school themed cosmetics company; The Art Class Lip Crayon. These Lip Crayons are actually modeled after your Crayola crayons. But when buying a lip crayon, one must also purchase the crayon sharpener.

Packaging:

looks very familiar doesn't it? the packaging is obviously very cute, and for me, brings back many primary school memories. I love how creative they are with the packaging, however, only one thing concerns me. These don't twist up and down. Which means you have to get more product the old fashioned way - literally sharpening the crayon. And it's not like you carry the sharpener everywhere you go, so it's a little inconvenient.

Packaging Rating: 4/5

Product Rating:

(colors in order as top picture)

So the product itself is very smooth and the color is the exact same as the packaging color, so swatch tests are not so necessary. Unfortunately, this crayon does not easily spread into the cracks of your lips, so I ended up layering it over and over again, which was a waste of product. Another dissappointing aspect of the lip crayon is its lasting power. It becomes dry very easily, especially when its windy, and it comes off after eating something or drinking water.

The yellow and blue crayons are actually clear. Yellow is glittery, and blue is pearly. You layer those 2 colors on either the red, pink or orange (not shown) lip crayons to make it glittery or pearly, and at the same time, make another combination of colors. Interesting concept though!

Product Rating: 2/5

Final Thoughts: It's a shame that this lip crayon doesn't last so long, otherwise it would have been a great replacement for a lipstick!

Pros: Packaging design
Cons: Lasting power, sharpening is annoying

Korea Special: Too Cool For School - Too Cool Art Class (Art Class Pastel Drawing Kit)

Too Cool For School - I just love that name :) Too Cool For School is a school-themed brand based in London, New York and Korea. Their products are just hilarious, as you can find all your school stationary mixed with new and hip cosmetics. So what exactly is this "Art Class Pastel Drawing Kit?" It's just eyeshadow. But not your ordinary eyeshadow. In the box, they give you 4 colors of eyeshadow, green, blue, yellow and brown in the form of blocks that resemble your clay blocks in your art or sculpture class.

Packaging:

It's very vintage looking with the font and design on the box. But other than that, it's just four blocks of eyeshadow with two eyeshadow brushes in a magnetic cardboard box. It is minimalistic and creative, but I worry about the hygiene of the eyeshadow. What if bacteria and moist gets in and effects my eyeshadow?

Packaging Rating: 2/5

Product Rating:

All of the colors are very subtle, and very light colored. I was going to upload a swatch test, but my phone camera could barely pick up any of the shades :( but other than that, I really like the colors, very warm and fun. But again, I have a problem with the shape of the blocks. When I first opened it, the blocks were wrapped in plastic. But while peeling them off and trying to put the blocks back in again, I accidentally snapped the blue eyeshadow block and the green eyeshadow block in two D:

Product Rating: 3/5

Final Thoughts:

This was an impulse buy, and I regret buying this product because now there are quality and hygiene concerns and two eyeshadow blocks are broken. So really, this product was quite "meh".

Pros: Colors are very nice and fit for the summer season :)
Cons: Packaging, blocks easily break, hygiene issues

Korea Trip Special: Son & Park - Color Curating Box

So as I promised, I am going to do a review on a Korean brand in Korea. This brand is probably not well known to most people (it's a new brand). So let me give you a bit of background about it. Son & Park is a new brand of Korean cosmetics, founded by two makeup artists, Son and Park (hence the name -.-) At a business meeting at a cosmetics factory, the owner of the factory gifted me a set of six eye crayons and six lip crayons in one set. So, I brought them back to my aunt's place and decided to try out all colors of each eye and lip crayon :) and at the same time, I found a look that suits me best :D

Price:
it was a gift, so I don't know :(

Price Rating: N/A

Pacakaging Rating:

Unlike my previous products, these products are less cute and "kawaii" as you call it. These products are more sleek and minimalistic. I really how the colors are labeled, so it makes it easier to tell which one is which. It is easy to use, and the caps don't pop off and easy to twist up and down.

Packaging Rating: 5/5

Product Rating:

a) The Lip Crayons:

(Top to bottom): Sugar Tint, Baby Coral, Honey Nude, Dazzling Tomato, Paprika Orange, Kissy Pink

The Lip Crayons are very similar to Clinique's Chubby Sticks. But the colors are much more better. These are all tinted by the way. The first four tints are not so heavy, so for me, that was good, because I have really red lips. If you have pretty pale lips, you might need to layer it 2 to 3 times to actually see the color. Sugar Tint is extremely light though, which is why it's my favorite. You barely see any color at all, it can pass as a clear crayon and not a pink one. These are not so moisturizing  but the color stays on for quite a long time, and the color doesn't come off once I take a single sip of water.

Swatch Test: (In order)

Lip Crayon Rating: 5/5

b) The Eye Crayons:

(From Top To Bottom): Ebony Gray, Sky Mint, Metallic Brown, Twinkle Pink, Star Bright, Sparkling Rose

These eye crayons are basically just an improved version of eye shadow. They glide on my eye lids very smoothly. But my only problem is with the colors. For me, only Metallic Brown actually made me look good, and that's because I have pretty tanned skin. Ebony Gray was a little dark for me, and Sky Mint and the last three looked a little awkward on me (clown like). There is also glitter in the eye crayons, which is quite a nice touch :)

Swatch Test (in Order):

Eye Crayon Rating: 4/5

My Final Thoughts:

I am so thankful I got these as a gift, because these are great :) hopefully if any one wants the last three eye crayons, I can give it to them. The lip crayons are just wonderful, and I know I will be using them quite often :D

Pros: Everything
Cons: Last three eye crayon color looks weird on me (personal preference)

My Look:

I paired the metallic brown eye crayon with the dazzling tomato lip crayon and it looked great! Sorry there is no pic :( the camera didn't show the eye crayon color D:

Hi guys! It's been a long while since I did a review. :( I'm so sorry. I've reached over 150 page views, so thank you for checking all the time ^^ I'm in Korea at the moment, and I'll bring back some new cosmetics so I'll be reviewing them soon. Maybe on Saturday when I get back to Hong Kong or (if I have time) during my trip :) I have so many things to review it's not even funny :|
