Etude House: Skin Malgem

And I'm back with another review! Etude House's skin malgem :) I got mine as a free gift for spending so much when I visited Seoul during Easter Break, so it's hard to judge whether it was really worth the price. I got a small bottle of Deep Moist toner (or moisturiser)  and a small bottle of Smoother (an exfoliating product). Anyhow, here it is.

From Left to Right: Smoother, Deep Moist, (x2) Cotton Pads

Things To Do Before Usage:

1) Wash Your Face
- if you just use water, that's fine too

2) Dry your face completely for the best effects

Packaging Review: N/A

Product:

1) Deep Moist (milky and thick substance)

I can't be sure whether this was supposed to be a moisturiser or a toner because Etude House wasn't very specific. However, judging from its name, I'll say it's a moisturiser. But unfortunately, I only felt a slight difference on my skin. Sure, it is moisturising alright, but it has the same moisturising effect as that of your ordinary lotion. I guess this was made for people that don't have very dry skin. Other than that, it's great. It made my skin more supple, and my skin got a lot less oily after I used this. It leaves a nice and soft matte finish on your face. Not to mention that it's long lasting too. I recommend this for people with medium dry and oily skin.

Use the soft cotton (rectangle cotton) for this.

Deep Moist Rating: 4.5/5

2) Smoother (clear and thin like water)

If you are tight on budget, this is seriously a toner that you want to get to replace high end toners. I really felt a difference after using the Smoother. (I have a small case of acne) My acne conditions improved and my skin felt very light and fresh. My skin did get less oily, but the effects weren't as strong as the effects in Deep Moist. My skin also got more bouncy and moisturised. I recommend this for those with really dry skin and those with mild acne problems.

Use the clear cotton (circular cotton) for this.

Smoother Rating: 4/5

Overall, both products were very good, and I do consider purchasing these in the future again when I visit Korea. I can't really judge which one is better, because it really depends on your skin type.

Recap:

Oily and Medium Dry Skin: Deep Moist

Very Dry and Mild Acne: Smoother

Etude House: Sweet Candy Stick

Hey guys! I haven't written a review in a almost two months :O I'm so sorry about that! I had to study for my Final Exams and finish up some projects. Because I haven't reviewed anything got to do with lips lately, here is one for you guys!

I got these a month ago, a gift from my mom she got when she was in Seoul :) Etude House's Sweet Candy Stick comes in three "flavours". Pink = Strawberry, Orange = Orange, Yellow = Lemon.

Packaging:
What can I say. Etude House nailed it. We have Christmas and summer mixed into one, the packaging is perfect. But there is one problem. It's nothing big, and can be dealed with. When you twist the bottom to get the product out, the stick itself doesn't go back in. In order to prevent any mishaps, simply just twist only a tiny bit of product - just enough to be smeared on your lips.

Packaging Rating: 4/5

From left to right: Lemon, Orange, Strawberry

Product Rating:

If you guys have read my review on "Tony Moly: Petite Bunny Gloss", you will understand what I mean when I say that Sweet Candy Stick and Petite Bunny Gloss Bar are very similar. Sweet Candy Stick has a very light tint, and smells absolutely wonderful. Though Petite Bunny Gloss Bar and Sweet Candy Stick are very similar, the two have their differences. Sweet Candy Stick has the purpose and function of a tinted lip balm. It doesn't have glossy finish to it. In fact I prefer Sweet Candy Stick over Petite Bunny Gloss Bar. After applying Sweet Candy Stick, your lips are glossy for the first few minutes before having a matte finish giving your lips a very moisturised look. The colors are just fantastic. It has a very light and subtle tint - and no matter which "flavour" you use, your lips will have a beautiful matte finish with a very nice natural tint that adds a subtle splash of color to lips. Couldn't be more happy about my purchase!

Product Rating: 5/5
