Etude House - Tear Eye Liner

Today I'm lucky enough to do two reviews! The second one will be about Etude House's Tear Eye Liner. For those of you wondering what exactly it is, Tear Eye Liner is used in creating the "ulzzang" look. It accents your eyes and highlights your eyes to give it a cute and innocent look without overdoing the kawaii-ness of it. The color I have here is #4: Sun Beach Tears

Packaging:

It's obviously plain, nothing much to comment about, but there is one flaw in the packaging: The brush. The brush is where it gets problematic. It's too soft, so you cannot apply it easily in one stroke. I managed to do so for my right eye (as I'm right handed) but the brush does not a have a nice easy stroke when doing my left eye. I only end up messing it up. It would be fine if the brush is a little more stiff so that it's more easy to apply, other wise you would have to be very experienced with eye makeup before making your purchase.

Packaging: 3/5

Product:

The color is just beautiful, however it's way to thick. It's so viscous that it starts to clump together once you apply it. Because of this, you constantly have to reapply and spread it again and again to get it to perfection. Another product flaw is that when it dries, it starts to crack and it hinders your eyes from looking flawless and innocent. And when it does start to crack when it dries, the glitter falls onto your face. On the bright side it's long lasting for the whole day as long as you don't rub your eye too much. I'm just really disappointed because the quality is just unacceptable. I don't even want to try to wear this outside because the after effects are just horrible.

Product Rating: 1/5

Conclusion: Don't get me wrong, I love Etude House and they have a fantastic range of eye makeup, but this Tear Eye Liner is seriously not the thing for me. Maybe some of you do not mind the effects as much as I do, but in my opinion, it's just too bad to use for "ulzzang" makeup.

TIP:  Replacing it with white (or any light colored) eye shadow is the most effective way to complete your "ulzzang" look. Using eye shadow sticks does not clump or crack, and it's super easy to use too! it lasts for half the day as well!

Oseque - High End Touch

Hello everybody! As you know I've been on a hiatus for 2 months because of school! And I'm super excited to announce my arrival with a new makeup review!

I recently got the Oseque High End Touch concealer/foundation from the home shopping channel (thanks to my aunt) from Korea. I'm sure you guys are eager to find out what is so good about so let's get started:

Packaging:

This product has a very simple and minimalistic design, there's nothing much to say about it. How ever, there is one feature that is out of the ordinary and was the reason why this foundation is very different from the others, it has a sponge roller (I'm sorry I don't know how to describe it) You basically press the button on the side to get the product on the sponge roller and roll it on your face. Though I love the idea and it's very convenient, I'm personally a little hesitant about this (because being the OCD person I am) there are hygiene concerns once again. And to my knowledge, I really don't know if you can change the sponge roller every once in a while (which is big disadvantage).

Packaging Rating: 3.5/5

Product:

I'm quite pleased to say that I quite like the actual product (substance) itself. I find it's really easy to apply, and it doesn't give you an overly cakey look (which makes people look like a whoreface). I'm really surprised that I didn't even need to put on my clear powder, because after the foundation/concealer dries, it gives your face a more moisturized look. The texture of it is like sunblock, a little thick - and it smells like it too. It's not the best foundation out there, but I personally think the quality is just right. TIP: for the "airbrushed" look, roll the sponge roller on your face softly in one stroke so that it's not messy.

Product Rating: 4/5

Conclusion: if you're not too concerned about hygiene and as long as you wash your face before you apply it, I highly recommend that you try this product out! It saves a lot time doing makeup and the product quality itself is great! This product was reasonable priced, somewhere in between 150 HKD and 220 HKD, so if you do buy it online, please keep that in mind!
