VDL: Tint Bar Geltini
And here is my second VDL post of the day! I haven't purchased a lip tint in ages, so I'm excited to review VDL's geltini tints today!
My mom bought me this, so it was quite a shock when I opened the box to find a very strange but cute packaging. It's very futuristic, and I really love how you can see the product color and amount in the container! Everything about the packaging is transparent, except for the cap which is mirrored with a transparent plastic coating.

The product itself is very good quality too! Most tints I've used have dried out my lips after a short period of time, and due to spit, food and drinks tend to fade away under an hour. However, I'm surprised and glad to say that VDL's geltini tint last for quite a long time and I find that I don't need to reapply this every 15 minutes (#otl). The colors are great too! The strong red and neon pink may seem slightly daunting at first, but it really gave my lips a natural glow (my parents couldn't even tell I was wearing them!) The red geltini is perfect for gradient lips, and the pink geltini is perfect for a natural look! Overall, I'm really impressed, and I would definitely repurchase these in the future.
Swatch test!

VDL: Lifegaurd Collection Summer 2014 - Pot Eyes
You guys might have heard that VDL has collaborated with the American Lifeguard Association to create this summer's new collection: the Lifeguard Collection. I've managed to get my hands on their two limited edition colors in 01 Surf N Sand and 02 Oh So Tan. This collection is designed to be water proof so that you are fresh faced and smudge free when you hit the pool or beach.
In terms of packaging, the packaging is very simple and it looks really similar to M.A.C, NARS and Bobbi Brown. It's pretty straightforward in terms of design so I don't really have any comments on it - super easy to open and close, and really, any idiot can figure it out.
VDL claims this product to be super creamy and water proof, and having terrible experiences with so called creamy waterproof products in the past, and I'm really surprised to say that the product really does live up to it's claim. The texture is extremely creamy leaving a metallic and slightly matte finish and both colors really compliment my skin tone AND it lasts for a long time without reapplication in between. I really love it, and to be honest, it's one of the better eye shadows I have purchased this year :)

M.A.C - Alluring Aquatic Lipstick (Summer 2014)
I'm really excited to announce that this will be my first non-korean product review in almost a year! I haven't tried out any M.A.C products, so this will be my first review for M.A.C! I hope you enjoy!
First off, I was really impressed with the packaging. I've never seen anything like it, and besides an interesting appearance of mirrored cyan packaging, the texture is also very unique - however, it still has the same shape as M.A.C's signature bullet lipsticks. The product mechanisms are working perfectly fine as well.

The product itself was also very nice! The color I have is "Siren Song", and according to M.A.C, it's supposed to be a "lustre" lipstick. Texture wise, it's very creamy and balmy, which makes it easy to apply. However, according to my personal experience, it is highly recommended that you have your lips moisturised before application. I didn't moisturise my lips with a layer of lip balm, so a lot of cracks were visible upon application. (it also has a very strong sweet vanilla smell!)
When worn by its self, it makes your lip color look slightly translucent due to how sheer the lipstick is. It leaves a frosted finish on your lips. The great thing about this product is that it's also very versatile, so it's great for layering on top of other lipstick colors (this is how I like to use it) to mute strong colors and give it a frosted and shimmery finish. Overall, I liked it, and I'm really impressed with the results!

I'm Back!
I haven't posted in months, and I'm so glad to be back! School has been really hectic and I really had to push through the last half of Semester 2 with exams and SAT prep. However, I'm back and I really wanted to thank all of you for visiting even while I was away!
